Our Assessment Process

Every G.R.O.W. treatment plan starts with a comprehensive assessment led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Here's what to expect, along with a general timeline for each step:

1
Getting Started
(a few minutes)
Reach out through our Get Connected page to begin the process.
2
Consultation Call
(10 to 15 minutes)
We learn about your child and family, answer your questions, and walk through next steps.
3
Interview & Clinic Tour
(45 minutes to one hour)
Meet our team and see the clinic in person, so you know exactly where and with whom your child will be spending their time.
4
Benefits Check & Documentation
(1 to 2 weeks)
We verify your insurance benefits and collect any required medical documentation, such as a diagnosis or physician referral.
5
Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)
(1 to 3 weeks)
A BCBA meets with your child to evaluate current skills, needs, and goals across communication, social skills, play, and daily living.
6
Individualized Treatment Plan
(1 to 2 weeks)
Your BCBA builds a plan with measurable goals specific to your child, reviewed with your family before services begin.
7
Insurance Authorization
(2 to 4 weeks)
We submit your child's treatment plan to your insurance provider for approval. This step is usually the longest, but it's required before ongoing services can start.

Once services begin, programs don't stand still: your BCBA reviews progress on an ongoing basis and adjusts the plan based on real data as your child grows.

Timelines vary by insurance provider and individual circumstances. Ready to start? Get Connected to schedule your child's assessment.
